It is not a steep climb for the first half the way up to where the rope is tied off. Once you reach the bottom of the rope however it gets steep. Stan was about half the way up the rope when he slipped and lost his footing. He caught himself but while in the process of getting his feet back under him he thought he saw some movement back below him. Then it disappeared as quickly as it appeared, which coincidently was the time it took him to slip and then catch himself. It was too dark of course to be sure about anything. There was no noise to confirm his vision. Only the sound of his feet scampering below trying to gain position. Stan finished his climb and at the top was shocked to find not only his cell phone but also the rifle he had been carrying when he first fell. Stan used the light on the cell phone to finish his trek back to civilization. He hasn’t seen the creature since that incident but he does hear some strange howls coming from the woods at night. next page |  |
