She had actually grabbed her purse when getting up and now that we were in the bathroom with this thing slamming against the door with just a low light in the room, I think it may have been one of those solar powered lights because I can’t imagine there being electricity along that route. There’s nobody or nothing for to have reason for power. Anyway we were lucky enough to have that low light so I grabbed her purse and dug through it and quickly found a little can of hair spray which I have no idea why she had it she never used an as long as I had known her and some pepper spray which I immediately undid all the safety measures they have installed to keep you from spraying yourself. And keep in mind while I am doing this she is screaming and that thing is slamming the door against that trash can which by the way was one of those with the round tops to it and I was terrified one of the times that thing slammed into the door that it would strike the top of that trash can at just the wrong angle and send it bouncing out of the place it needed to be to block that door from coming open. Well I got the pepper spray ready to spray and timed it just right when that thing hit the door again bouncing it slightly open and just then I hit the spray being conscious of the fact that I wouldn’t be able to get a long spray before the door had come slamming back and I didn’t want to waste the stuff in hopes of getting another try or several tries before I ran out of pepper spray. I must have had at least some success when I sprayed because it roared even louder and slammed against the door faster and harder than ever but every time that door slung open for a split second I would spray more pepper spray through its opening. There was more roaring and then the slamming stopped but we could hear it breathing heavily just outside the door. I could feel the pepper spray was mostly gone so I went with plan number two which was a lighter and her hair spray. It was a half-can of spray so obviously it wasn’t going to last very long. next page |  |
