Bigfoot Rises from Lake in Oklahoma 7

At Safe Distance

Chaos ruled the moment quickly followed by fear. Each of the boys swam for the bank and pulled themselves up out of the water looking back the direction from which they had swam. They were screaming and shouting about where the monster had gone! Amazingly two of the .three flashlights had kept working though one of them was starting to flutter out. Only Hubert had a flashlight that was still working by the time they heard the water splash. He aimed his flashlight in that direction but they didn’t see anything. Was it coming for them? Quickly they climbed further into the brush that followed the lake shore in an attempt to put more ground between themselves and whatever had turned over the boat.

For a brief few seconds there was no noise at all. The bugs had stopped buzzing and chirping and there were no bull frogs making their usual deep calls. It became so silent that when the next sounds were heard it was like they were being amplified. It was water and it was being displaced. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to know, it was coming! The boys scrambled through the brush aiming the whole time back towards the direction they had come. Then they heard it come out of the water and start to crash through the brush. Hubert was in front leading the way with the flashlight. Arnold followed and then came Jerry. When they heard the creature come out of the water Hubert immediately switched directions going from following the lake shore line to taking a ninety-degree angle away from the water. He knew there was a road which followed along the lake shore, that was no more than half a mile from the water.
