| The boys rushed to the man who took them inside. He called the police immediately and they arrived about fifteen minutes later. They had a dog and some bright lights and a team of four. They searched the area back behind the back yard but could find nothing. Probably the red lights and sirens arriving were more than enough to send the creature back into the deep part of the woods. The boys were visibly shaken and the police seemed to believe their story. After that night none of the boys went fishing when it was dark out again. In fact they didn’t even want to be outside after dark. All three families moved away within a year after it happened.
