At Safe Distance

The question of whether Bigfoot actually exists is one that nobody should expect any government to answer because for them to acknowledge the existence of the animal would then require also noting how rare the animal is proven to be. Therefore it would go to the front of the line for endangered list causing the animal rights groups to demand three be land set aside from its natural habitat. Imagine how much land it would require to provide proper amount for the creatures? The cost would be considerable.

There would be lots of losers and the only winners would be those whom do not matter, in the eyes of the governments. The mountain lion requires one hundred square miles of hunting range per solitary cat. The weight of a male mountain lion can be upwards of 220 pounds. A full-grown bigfoot is estimated to weigh in at 600 to 800 pounds. Following the equation of 220 lbs for 100 square miles then that would suggest between 300 to 400 square miles for each bigfoot. That is a lot of added land to be set aside and left untouched. No country is going to honor such a burden.

That is likely the biggest reason it will be a long time before the animals are recognized as actually existing. Rumors and gossip abound that there is a men in black suits division of the government who handle any situations which might arise about such sensitive natured subjects. Stories about hunters stumbling upon the remains of creatures which were of such size they could only have been bigfoot. The authorities are contacted and a short time later a black SUV shows up with men who collect the remains and then tell you that the whole matter never happened.
