Stan’s mind was doing all this calculating in a matter of about a minute. His body was stiff with anticipation for whatever he was going to do but he had to be smart if he was going to get out of this without waking up his new friend. He checked his person for personal effects and his phone was gone. So was his wallet. His stocking cap was gone too. There was time to consider later as to why he was here. Right now he needed to figure out how he was gonna get out. Unfortunately he couldn’t see even an arm length’s in front of himself. Okay first, where was he? Well there was snow on the ground but there was none where he was laying. Yet he felt sure he was outside and on the cold ground, though it wasn’t as cold as it should be. He felt around and it felt like he was on a bed of leaves and small twigs. Above him he could ever-so-vaguely make out what looked like tree limbs. The sky must still be overcast which would explain the lack of stars or moonlight. The air was very crisp but he didn’t feel much wind. Lack of wind and snow meant he was inside but sure wasn’t a house. Was he in a nest? it’s nest? There was no other likely possibility. next page | |
